Drowning is the number one accidental cause of death in Florida for children under the age of four. For every drowning, there are four hospitalized near-drownings and 11 treated near-drownings.

Adult supervision alone is not enough - many layers of protection are recommended to best prevent submersion deaths and injuries. This site will provide you with several tools to help minimize risks and prevent future drownings.
