Video - Tips for Hurricane Protection

A free video is available explaining how to plan for a hurricane and offers numerous tips on protecting family and home (Florida residents only).

The 12-minute video outlines ways people can prepare their families for hurricanes and explains options such as evacuating or "riding out" storms. It also explains how to make buildings safer by bracing doors, installing shutters and taking other steps.

The Escambia County Department of Public Safety, Office of Emergency Management, produced the video as a public service for Florida residents. It is available by calling 471-6400 or emailing escambiaeoc@co.escambia.fl.us.
